This video was originally a free class I gave on LinkedIn. Even though I live in Thailand, I teach many Brazilians online and this video explains connected speech, elision, the rhythm & intonation of English, and points out other common errors that Brazilians make in English. If your native language is Portuguese, you'll get some great tips on how to sound more natural when speaking English.

First, watch how Rachel's English breaks down conversations in English to show the patterns I discussed in class. Also, watch her video about placement to learn how to lower the vowel sounds in English. Here is her explanation of how to pronounce the Dark L, as in "girl".
Watch these videos to learn the pronunciation of R Colored Vowels.
Take this free class on Coursera from the University of California.
Read the rules about voiced vs. unvoiced consonants, as well as the past tense. Practice their pronunciation in these videos. Make sentences and practice the vibrating TH here.
Learn the 10 most common mistakes that Brazilians make in English, and how to fix them. Practice R & L sounds here.
To really get this you have to practice speaking English often with native speakers. One of the most affordable ways to do this is with Cambly, where native speaking tutors can give you corrections & coaching. Check it out here.
